Contributions, Points and Where You Stand

Here is more information about Paul Harris Fellow Recognition for contributions to The Rotary Foundation and how they work.

Paul Harris Fellow recognition is awarded to an individual who contributes $1,000 or more cumulatively to the Annual Fund, PolioPlus, or an approved Rotary Foundation grant.  Recognition consists of a certificate and pin.  If $100 of the contribution goes to the Annual Fund the individual automatically becomes a Sustaining Member of the Foundation for that fiscal year.

Multiple Paul Harris Fellow recognition is given in subsequent $1,000 levels.  So called “Paul Harris Fellow Plus” awards consist of a pin with stones corresponding to the recognition amount.

Plus One - $2,000 to $2,999.99 - one sapphire (PHF+1)
Plus Two - $3,000 to $3,999.99 - two sapphires (PHF+2)
Plus Three - $4,000 to $4,999.99 - three sapphire (PHF+3)
Plus Four - $5,000 to $5,999.99 - four sapphires (PHF+4)
Plus Five - $6,000 to $6,999.99 - five sapphires (PHF+5)
Plus Six - $7,000 to $7,999.99 - one ruby (PHF+6)
Plus Seven - $8,000 to $8,999.99 - two rubies (PHF+7)
Plus Eight - $9,000 to $9,999.99 - three rubies (PHF+8)

Foundation recognition points are awarded to donors who contribute to the above three funds as well. Donors receive one recognition point for every U.S. dollar contributed to the three fund categories.  Donors can extend recognition points to other persons to help them become a Paul Harris Fellow or Multiple Paul Harris Fellow.  Many Clubs have points and use them from time to time to match cash contributions to help members progress toward or obtain these various recognition levels.  Members are also accumulating points as they make contributions and can use them to help someone else become, or name them, a Paul Harris Fellow or Multiple Paul Harris Fellow.

Paul Harris Fellow is not the only recognition available - Paul Harris Society, Major Donor, Benefactor to name a few.
