At the Rotary Club of Mesa, Service Above Self is more than a motto — it's our mission. As a local club with global impact, we are proud to serve across four key areas: Youth Service, International Service, Club Service, and Community Service. Each of these pillars reflects our commitment to creating lasting change — in Mesa, Arizona, and beyond.

 

Youth Service

We believe in investing in the next generation of leaders. Through Youth Service, we support programs that empower young people to become ethical and engaged citizens.

Our Youth Service efforts include:

  • RYLA and Junior RYLA are leadership development programs designed to empower young people through hands-on learning, team-building, and personal growth experiences.

  • Interact Clubs: We partner with Rotaract Benedictine University Mesa to mentor student-led clubs that focus on service and leadership.

  • Scholarships: We provide financial support to local students pursuing higher education.

  • Youth Exchange: We host and sponsor international exchange students to promote cross-cultural understanding.

Community Service

Mesa is our home, and we are dedicated to making it a better place for everyone. Through hands-on projects and partnerships, we address real needs right here in our own backyard.

Our Community Service projects include:

  • Volunteering at local food banks and shelters

  • Organizing neighborhood cleanups and beautification projects

  • Partnering with local schools, nonprofits, and first responders

  • Hosting annual community events and fundraisers

We’re always looking for new ways to roll up our sleeves and make a difference in Mesa.

Club Service

Strong service starts with a strong club. Club Service focuses on the health, growth, and engagement of our own members to ensure we can continue to serve others effectively.

Club Service includes:

  • Organizing engaging weekly meetings with impactful speakers

  • Fostering fellowship through events and socials

  • Welcoming new members and promoting mentorship within the club

  • Recognizing member contributions and achievements

When our members are connected and inspired, our service becomes even more meaningful.

International Service

Rotary is global — and so is our service. Through International Service, we collaborate with Rotary clubs around the world to tackle some of humanity’s biggest challenges.

Key focus areas include:

  • Clean Water Projects

  • Medical Missions and Health Initiatives

  • Supporting Education in Developing Countries

  • Partnering with Rotary International to End Polio Worldwide

Our club has been actively involved in global grant projects, sending supplies and expertise to places in need while building strong global friendships.
